Being a Boss Doesn't Mean You Have to Feel Alone [MarketHer Ep. 23]
Feb 14, 2018
It's no secret that Brie, Britt, and I are in newer leadership roles. In fact, we are slowly closing in on one year of being in these positions.
Trust us when we say it hasn't come without its challenges.
It's beneficial to talk about challenges with friends or family. It's theraputic, and you often leave those conversations with a new perspective.
But, what if you don't have people in your professional life to bounce ideas of off and talk about the struggles you're facing?
Do you sometimes feel alone?
This is what we tackle in our latest episode!
Yes, you need people. But you need to surround youself with the right people who you can trust and with whom you feel confident in sharing your feelings.
They could be a mentor, a peer-level coworker, or your boss.
When you find the right space, you'll notice that the struggles and problems you face don't seem as daunting. And that kind of support will enable your growth, both personally and professionally.
So, how do we share our feelings? Who do we turn to when we need a sounding board for our ideas?
