“Co-founder of Reddit Alexis Ohanian is also the co-founder of new VC firm Initialized Capital and, of course, dad to Olympia and husband of legendary tennis star Serena Williams.
Jada Pinkett Smith has long made a name for herself as an actress and activist but her latest turn as host of the wildly popular Red Table Talk has taken the world and Facebook by storm.
Author Elizabeth Gilbert gives advice like no other, most notably in her bestsellers "Big Magic" and "Eat Pray Love." This year she'll release the highly anticipated "City of Girls" in June.”
Property of the Week: Field Type Series
HubSpot User
“Stores a list of HubSpot users in your account. Only one HubSpot user can be selected as a value. This allows you to have a custom owner property, separate from the default [Object] owner property. Learn more about assigning ownership of records.”
On episode 204, we talked about the Contact Owner default property and how many companies have use cases to create additional ownership-type properties. This is how you do that!
What’s on Carina's Mind
Always trying to find and follow all the “best practices” for everything in inbound, and never being willing to take the risk to be the one that FINDS and TESTS those best practices.
(In this day and age, by the time a best practice is a best practice, isn't it probably already outdated?)
HubSpot Wishlist: Enforce unique email address for a tracking cookie
“When two different people convert from the same browser (tracking cookie), HubSpot overwrites the contact each time with the new email address and form data. This is the last thing we would ever want to happen. There is a setting to disable cookie tracking on a form, but we don't want to lose valuable analytics data either.”
This is a bit of a different wishlist item, because HubSpot actually recently delivered a fix for this! We talked about it a few episodes ago.
But it came up this week with a client who had some wonky stuff going on with their form submissions/contacts.
Moral of the story: make sure you’re using the “Not you?” form reset option for any forms you think might get submitted by different people in the same browser.

HubSpot Updates
More Easily Manage Your Team's Reporting Dashboards
“Up to now, there's been no central place for an admin to view and delete dashboards. So if, for example, one of your managers left the company, finding and updating or deleting that manager's dashboards would've been nearly impossible.”
A New & Improved URL Redirects Tool
“With this update, we’ve made it easier to manage your redirects, and gather information on the purpose of each URL redirect that you implement across your site.”
