In a new Podcast called “Three and a Half Degrees: The Power of Connection,” Facebook’s VP of marketing and partnerships David Fischer, explores “the benefits, opportunities and challenges of this new proximity; bringing together unexpected pairings of business leaders, mavericks and entrepreneurs who share surprising parallels in values, visions, experiences and ideas.”
The podcast will have seven episodes, with each one released once every two weeks. The first episode was released January 14th and is called “The Power of Social Good.”
It connects Blake Mycoskie, the founder of TOMS shoes, with two brothers who’ve created the charitable t-shirt company Two Blind Brothers,.
The Three And A Half Degrees podcast is tightly aligned with the company’s overall mission to bring the world closer together through technology.
What’s The Takeaway for Marketers?
Based on research in 2018 from Podcast Insights, there are currently over 630,000 podcasts in December 2018 which is a 20% growth from the 525,000 active shows in April of 2018. Meaning the Podcast platform is only going to continue to grow.
And with new ways to share your business message coming to the forefront, like video and podcasts, it’s always important to make the strategy behind each one aligns with your overall business message.
Don’t just make a podcast for the sake of making a podcast make sure there is purpose behind it so that it will really resonate with your audience.
At IMPACT we have many podcasts that relate to different parts of our business.
The Inbound Success Podcast asks the question “What do the most successful inbound marketers do to get great results?” while Creators Block is meant to “ empower marketers and agency creatives.”
We’re covering two different subjects but both relate to a core piece of our business.
