Ready, Set, Innovate: How to Stop Killing Your Own Creativity [Infographic]
Jan 7, 2017
A while back my IMPACT colleagues and I shared with you our personal tips and tricks for getting over creative roadblocks and staying inspired.
From taking a walk to joining forces with a teammate, it was eye-opening to see what kind of things others turn to when the creative juices just seem to stop.
According to a study by Adobe Data, 75% of people think they are not living up to their creative potential, and in an idea-driven industry like marketing, this is a bit alarming.
It's especially concerning when you hear that companies that foster creativity enjoy 1.5x greater market share than those that don't.
So what can you, your team, and your organization be doing to stop killing your creativity?
In the infographic from Entrepreneur seen below, the popular business magazine dives deeper into the topic, sharing actionable "dos and don'ts" for your everyday routines.
Here are just a few of the highlights that you should incorporate into your lives right away:
- Stay active. Physical activity can increase creative output and thinking by 60%.
- Don't stay up all night. You need deep sleep for deep insights.
- Have an open-mind and say "yes" to new ideas.
- Don't say, "that never works." Sometimes you need to do your own research.
- Find what works for you."Inspiration is not imitation"
