4 Ways to Start Implementing Video Into Your Marketing
Oct 12, 2016
How much content are you producing for your website, blog, and social platforms right now?
Optimistically you should be producing about three pieces of content a week. And if you're creating this much each week, you're already on the right track for online success.
But of that content you've produced so far, how much of it is text-based?
If you're like most companies out there, I'm going to guess at least 85%
So what's been holding you back from utilizing video content to tell your brand's story or provide information about your products or services?
Is it something akin to stage fright, where you simply don't want to be in front of the camera?
Are you concerned the costs of equipment and production will be too great?
Or is it simply because you feel as if you're not sure what you could talk about, or even where to begin?
Why is video so important?
Video is not some wave far out in the ocean approaching the beach. It's already here. It's swelling all around you. And you can either stand up and surf it all the way to the bank, or you can let it roll past you as you watch your competitors get pitted in your place.
Here's just a few stats that should encourage you to start filming ASAP:
- YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world today with approximately 1.3 Billion people using it.
- 300 hours of videos are being uploaded every minute, and nearly 5 billion videos are watched every single day.
- On Facebook, 8 billion videos are being viewed each day, and video content has a 135% organic reach compared to photos.
- And best of all, audiences are about 10 times more likely to engage with your videos over traditional blogs and social posts.
If you want to be a part of the conversations concerning your industry, you need to be where the conversation is happening, and those conversations are taking place through video. To stay relevant to your audience, you're going to have to create video content, create it soon, and create a lot of it.
