Property of the Week: Field Type Series
Calculation
“Stores custom equations based on number properties. Calculation properties cannot be used in forms and are Enterprise accounts only. Learn more about creating calculation properties.”
We teased this last week - but this allows you to take and make calculations with any of your number properties. You have the choice to do a custom formula with multiple variables, or do a Min, Max, Count, Sum or Average of a specific property of an associated object.
This also means you can roll up properties into other properties (ie total pageviews for all contacts associated with a company).
Some use cases: calculating potential sales commissions on a deal, average deal size for an individual contact, or creating aggregate scoring for your lead scores.

HubSpot Wishlist: Multiple Support Forms
“Today there is only one support form available in Service hub. We need the possibility to add more than the default support form currently available. This is a "must have" for us as we cannot cover all aspects of our business in one support form.”
This Episode’s Sponsor: Woopra
Woopra gives you the tools to visualize and optimize every step of the customer journey. One of the things that Woopra’s founder said to me about how they view their platform really stuck with me:
“Woopra acts like the brain of the organization - we partner with all the services you’re using to do all the things, centralizes that data and allows you to analyze it.”

HubSpot Updates
A Few Updates to Conversations
Conversations Live Chat Widget has a New Look Optimized for the Mobile Experience
“Here are the subtle changes we made that make a big difference to our customers:
-
Optimized for desktop, mobile, and tablet
-
Header now shows the avatar(s) or company logo inside the widget
-
Mobile now shows the widget full screen and includes an “X” button within view”
Use Attachments for Bots to Deliver Targeted Content and More
“Here are some nifty ways you can use attachments in bots to enrich your visitor experience:
-
Upload PDFs and use bots to deliver targeted content offers after qualifying them
-
Send GIFs or still images that align with your brand to make bots more engaging or to keep things light-hearted
-
Use images or GIFs to visually convey instructions or help customers (for example, providing support or sending an infographic).”
Hear what our very own Stephanie Baiocchi has to say about why this is so important.
Four Updates to Email in Conversations You Don't Want to Miss
-
“Within your Conversations Inbox, you can now start a new email from any shared email account using the same email communicator you’ve come to know and love elsewhere in HubSpot
-
We made responding to email conversations as simple and easy as live chat with a simplified reply editor
-
A few bonus quick-hit updates that make Conversations feel and function more like the traditional email client you are used to -- including reply all, support sending to multiple email addresses, and the ability to change the “from” email address
-
Upped the Inbox limit for Professional and Enterprise users from 10 to 100”
A Few Service Hub Updates
[Now Live] New Dashboard in Customer Feedback tool, Service Hub
“Now live is a new feedback dashboard that shows a list of all your surveys, from all types, on one centralized screen as well as a banner to help you get started with the feedback tool. You can create and manage all your surveys from this one window.”
[Now Live] You can delete survey responses in Feedback in Service Hub
“It's now possible to delete individual feedback responses for all survey types in Service Hub. Note only super admins can delete responses.”
[Now Live] Ticket Status Automation in Service Hub
“Ticket status automation allows you to change the status of tickets automatically when you send or receive emails from customers. This automation is turned on by default for all new portals as of 3/8/19. If your Service Hub portal was created before that date you'll need to turn on this automation in settings.”
HubSpot is making some of these things more “out-of-the-box” functionality, so teams can get started right away, and it just works. (Shoutout to Dave Barron on the Service Hub team!)
Syncing for LinkedIn Lead Gen Custom Checkboxes
“This week, LinkedIn released changes to how consent and permissions are handled on LinkedIn lead gen forms. Advertisers now have the option to create custom checkboxes, which can be required for submission or not.
To keep up with this change, HubSpot will now sync these custom checkbox fields in the same way all custom questions are synced: as a custom contact property. This mirrors how HubSpot syncs similar custom consent fields from Facebook lead ads.”
Create a Personalized Customer Experience with CRM Object Data in the HubSpot CMS
“To help you provide the most personalized customer experience possible, developers now have access to a new HubL tag that allows you to pull CRM object data into your HubSpot hosted pages.
With this feature, you’re able to create customized pages for your audience that’s powered by the data in your HubSpot CRM. You can build custom profile pages showing a contact their most recently purchased products, when their renewal dates are, what contact information you have on file for them, who their account representative is, and so much more. The possibilities are endless.”
Holy cow this is awesome! Any page you use this on will need to be password protected (which will ensure it’s pulling the right CRM info).
